In each box you'll discover fascinating varieties that do something a little unexpected – from plants that flinch at the slightest touch, to petals that buzz on your tongue, to blooms that start the day as one colour, then promptly change their mind.

Not Your Everyday Seeds

Many of the seeds in our boxes are sourced from specialist growers in India, the USA, Germany, Australia and the UK – varieties you’re unlikely to spot at your local garden centre. Some are especially rare in New Zealand and were imported under strict biosecurity approval, like the one famous for its rhythmic leaf movements when sound is near, earning it a reputation for dancing.

We don’t promise collectors’ specimens – just fascinating, hard-to-find plants chosen for curiosity, novelty, and an excellent backstory.

Plants with a Plot Twist

You’ll discover seedlings that disguise themselves as stones. Plants that eat bugs for lunch. Flowers that launch their future selves across the room using seed-slinging catapults.

You don’t need a degree in botany, or even a garden. Once they outgrow their starter pots, your plants can stay indoors or move to a bigger pot outside.

Every box includes growing guides, fun facts, labels, and the soil or medium to get your seeds off to a strong start. (Join the Spring Wonder Boxes subscription and you’ll get a heat mat included in your first box – just what the fussier seeds need to get going in the cooler months.)
