This is the full Stems of Wonder experience: five beautifully boxed deliveries featuring ten unusual plants to grow from seed, designed to carry you through the most exciting part of the growing season.

From the very first box, you’ll get everything you need to start sowing — including a heat mat, seed raising mix, growing guides and some wonderfully odd seeds you won’t find at the garden centre.
(You’ll just need to provide your own small pots or punnets.)

Offered just once a year and ideal for curious growers or hard-to-buy-for giftees.

Each delivery contains:

Two delightfully unusual seed varieties (10 in total) - see the full list of plant varieties below
Seed raising medium (enough for a 6-cell punnet per variety).
Charming illustrated growing guides with helpful tips & fun facts.
Seedling labels and a mini water spritzer.
Beautifully boxed and delivered to your door, fortnightly. Free delivery nationwide, (a one-time $35 surcharge applies for rural addresses)
Free heat mat included in your first box (RRP $40 – yours to keep).

Seed varieties:

• Codariocalyx motorius – the dancing plant that moves in response to warmth and sound-waves

• Acmella oleracea – the electric daisy with edible blooms that make your mouth fizz and tingle

• Senna didymobotrya – popcorn senna whose flowers smell uncannily like hot buttered popcorn

• Impatiens balsamina – old-fashioned balsam with touch-sensitive pods that pop, flinging its seeds like tiny catapults

• Hibiscus mutabilis – Confederate rose with blooms that change colour dramatically from morning to night

• Mimosa pudica – the classic sensitive plant whose leaves instantly fold when touched

• Drosera binata – forked sundew, New Zealand’s own insect-trapping carnivore with forked leaves studded in sparkling, insect-trapping droplets

• Jatropha podagrica – Buddha Belly plant with a cartoon-like swollen caudex and coral-red flower clusters

• Scorpiurus muricatus – caterpillar plant with fuzzy, curling seed pods that look ready to crawl away

• Lithops karasmontana ‘Bella’ – a living stone succulent that disguises itself perfectly as a pebble

Returns & Cancellations

Due to the seasonal nature of seeds, and growing conditions beyond our control, we’re unable to offer returns, refunds, or exchanges once your subscription has been purchased.

We carefully select fresh, viable seeds with high germination rates and include extras when a variety is known to be an erratic germinator. Each delivery comes with detailed growing guides to help you give your seeds the best possible start, but germination can never be fully guaranteed.

That said, if you're consistently running into issues, or something doesn’t seem right, just get in touch – we’re here to help however we can.
